Lisa Brennauer of Specialized-lululemon Wins in Ponferrada
It was a great weekend for Specialized-lululemon, with the team winning its third consecutive team time trial at the 2014 UCI World Road Championships in Ponferrada, Spain, and then some individual victories two days later! Most notable is team rider Lisa Brennauer taking the individual time trial event! Teammates Evelyn Stevens, Karol Ann Canuel and Trixi Worrack all placed in the top ten. Brennauer earned the rainbow stripes jersey and another world title. She says, “It will take a while to sink in. I thought I could have a good race and make the podium if I had a really good day but a world title is something special and it will take me a while to really realize it.”
Brennauer was part of a tight group of the top 6 riders but managed to break out and take the lead in the last five kilometers. Good going!!

“It was quite a technical course, and we didn’t really get the chance to learn it but everyone was in the same boat and it was another good opportunity for us to practice as a team together for World Championships,” said Van Dijk. “We have 35 seconds to try to save now and we’ll have to be attentive of time bonuses, but we’re looking forward to trying to defend the jersey.”
Lezyne continues to proudly sport Specialized-lululemon as ambassadors of Engineered Design! Way to go ladies!
At the Specialized lululemon team camp back in early 2012, Lezyne was fortunate enough to be able to share their experiences at the camp. We not only shared a ride with the girls, but grabbed some food with them as well as some interviews. The following view is what we were able to gather from the girls. Without a doubt, they were an amazing team and an extremely strong group of women (both on and off of the bike). The team is made up of immensely strong women who also happen to have sterling careers to back them up. Lezyne is extremely proud to be a partner of Specialized lululemon and the amazing women that encompass it.” We hope that you enjoy this video, as making it was certainly the best part.
