Velo News Reviews the Micro Floor Drive HV

The well-known online cycling publication Velo News had some great things to say about our Micro Floor Drive HV for traveling cyclists or mountain bikers looking for a speedier, compact pump. The Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HV is a compact high volume pump design that brings floor pump function and power along for the ride. The aluminum barrel, shaft, base and T-handle are CNC machined for durability, ergonomics and reduced weight. The stainless steel foot peg provides stability while pumping. The ABS Flip-Thread Chuck and long rubber hose make it easy to reach Presta and Schrader valves. The HVG model features an in-line psi/bar pressure gauge. It comes equipped with Lezyne’s ABS Flex Hose, which has a threaded Presta connection with ABS on one side and a threaded Shrader connection on the other.

“Lezyne’s Micro Floor Drive HV is perfect for cyclists who travel, or for mountain bikers looking for a faster inflation option. Its long hose and floor pump design make it much easier to use than a traditional mini pump. It’s also bigger, of course, at 12″ long.”

Pedaling Nowhere Reviews the Power Bottle Cage

Pedaling Nowhere Reviews the Power Bottle Cage

Cycling blog Pedaling Nowhere constructed a compilation of what they feel are the best bottle cages out there, after field testing several through harsh conditions of several touring and backpacking adventures. Our Power Cage made the list! The Lezyne Power Cage is made of oversized hollow aluminum tubing for strength. The wrap-around design securely holds bottles over rough terrain while providing easy on-the-bike access. The aluminum base is welded to the hollow tubes for a durable and secure connection.

“When we got home from our last tour I unbolted all of our cages and noticed a couple that have been around for a while, and thought about several that didn’t make it back. We’ve used many brands, and broken quite a few of them. You can typically find replacements in practically every country, but most cheap wire cages wear out and become flimsy. Typically we carry two cages that fit standard water bottles and one or two oversized cages. Here are the ones worth writing about.”

Road.cc Reviews the Mega Drive for Year 8

Road.cc never fails to deliver the Lezyne love. Our newly upgraded Mega Drive wasn’t about to fall through their fingers! With a CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration, the Mega Drive is the ultimate high performance LED light built for trail or road use. It features Constant Lumens power management that drives three LEDs at a bright 1,400 lumens. Overdrive Race Mode allows quick switching between Overdrive and Economy, and its Infinite Light design allows for on-demand battery replacement for a bright light that never quits. It is recharged either with fast, high efficiency, 2 Amp recharging with a compatible wall adaptor or via a Micro USB cable for ultimate convenience. The Intelligent Power Indicator button allows the user to check the power level any time. The Mega Drive’s CM hard mounts secure the light to 31.8 mm and 25.4 mm handlebars. It is also available as a Fully Loaded package with aluminum handlebar mounts (31.8mm and 25.4mm), a spare battery pack, a Micro USB charging cable, and CM storage case.

“The Mega Drive is Lezyne’s top-of-the-line performance LED light. It’s self-contained, and kicks out loads of light in a well-designed beam pattern. I like it a lot.

“The Mega Drive, as with other Lezyne products, is a beautifully manufactured aluminium unit. It not only looks good, it’s very strong as well. I know, because it dislodged itself from my handlebars mid-descent. Before I could recover it, a car had driven over it. It continues to work perfectly. The lesson in this, of course, is to make sure the light is mounted on the bracket properly. Doh!”

MTBR Reviews the Lezyne Deca Drive

Online publication MTBR (Mountain Bike Review) had some great things to say about our popular Deca Drive LED light (900 lumens version). This light is designed with a sleek CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration. It features Constant Lumens power management that drives three LEDs. Overdrive Race Mode makes it possible for quick switching between Overdrive and Economy, and its Infinite Light design allows for on-demand battery replacement. The Intelligent Power Indicator button allows the user to check the power level any time. It is recharged either with fast, high efficiency, 2 Amp recharging with a compatible wall adaptor, or via a Micro USB cable for ultimate convenience. The Deca Drive’s Composite Matrix hard mounts secure the light to 31.8 mm and 25.4 mm handlebars. It is also available in the Fully Loaded package with aluminum handlebar mounts (31.8mm and 25.4mm), a spare battery pack, a Micro USB charging cable, and CM storage case.

“The Deca Drive is Lezyne’s follow-on to the Mega Drive of last year. It measures almost 900 Lumens and is only 100 Lumens weaker than last year’s Mega Drive. But it is $50 cheaper and that makes this a terrific value. Furthermore, the edges have been smoothed out with some white powdercoating.”

Road.cc Reviews the Zecto Drive Front LED Light

Road.cc Reviews the Zecto Drive Front LED Light

Road.cc Reviews the Zecto Drive Front LED Light

Through the past few years, Road.cc has submitted some excellent reviews of our lights! This time, it’s our Zecto Drive Front LED light. This light is a compact safety light with three LEDs designed with a lightweight and sturdy Composite Matrix and CNC-machined aluminum body. It delivers a highly visible 80 lumens in Daytime Flash Mode. The Intelligent Power Indicator allows the user to check the power level at any time, and provides Side Visibility, allowing 180 degrees of visibility and increases user safety. It can recharge any time with a Micro USB cable for ultimate convenience. The light easily attaches via its Clip-On System, providing for versatile strapped or clipped mounting. It is available as a single front LED, or as a front/rear pair (Zecto Drive Front and Rear).

“The Zecto Drive Front Light from Lezyne is a excellent piece of kit. It’s designed to alert drivers of your presence, rather than to help you see the way on unlit roads, although it’s good at that as well. It clips easily to your bike, helmet or backpack, and is neat and sturdy. It’s also rechargeable, waterproof and fairly priced.”

Road.cc Reviews the Femto Front LED Light

Road.cc is definitely no stranger to Lezyne, and it’s time for our Femto Front LED light to get some love! This light is a bright, ultra-compact, 15 lumen safety light. It features an integrated lens switch made of high-grade optical material, which serves as an activation button that cycles through four Flash modes and one Solid mode. The CNC –machined aluminum body is lightweight, durable, and extremely weather-resistant. The Composite Matrix back cap features the Clip-On System for versatile strapped or clipped mounting. The multi-position silicon rubber strap attaches directly to the back plate to secure the light to a wide range of handle bar diameters. The Side Visilbility lens extends beyond the body providing 180 degrees visibility, and increasing user safety. The back cap can easily be unscrewed to replace the two CR2032 disposable batteries. The Femto Drive Front is available as a single front LED, or as a front/rear pair (Femto Drive Front and Rear). Replacement CR2032 batteries are also available in packs of 2 and 8.

“Lezyne’s Femto Drive front LED is another diminutive bobby dodger that can be left adorning the best or TT bike’s bars in case of emergencies without adding unsightly clutter or used as an unobtrusive sidekick to dynamo/main systems. However, while mightier than its 15 lumens would suggest, it’s hardly the stuff of standalone commuter service.”

Bikeradar Lists Lezyne in Friday Five-a-side for Best New Gear

Every Friday, Bikeradar rounds up the best gear in mountain and road biking. This week, the online cycling publication listed Lezyne amongst Bontrager, Moots, Performance, Reynolds, and more, featuring our Deca Drive, Macro Duo, and KTV line (front, rear and Pro).

“Headlining our recent shipment of test samples is the new Deca Drive with up to 900 (claimed) lumens of output via three LED emitters. Stated run time at the highest setting is a modest 1 1/2 hours (or up to 21 hours on the longest-lasting flashing mode) with convenient recharging via a micro-USB cable in as little as six hours. The Li-ion battery can also be easily swapped out for a fresh pack (optional) if you want to head out for longer rides, too.”

“Commuters looking for a convenient helmet-mounted all-in-one combo light can check out the Macro Drive Duo, which features a 400-lumen claimed output up front coupled with a five-lumen red LED out back – all neatly tucked together in the same aluminum case. Cutouts at the front of the body add some side visibility as well. Claimed run is the same 1 1/2 hours as the Deca Drive but in this case, the non-swappable battery will recharge via the built-in micro-USB port in just three hours.”

KTV Pro and KTV Front & Rear (Photo: Bikeradar)

“The KTV Drive Pro front-only light is the brightest safety option with 70 claimed lumens, and the clever mounting system can be used on handlebars or clothing. Pop off the rear cap and there’s a USB plug built into the body so you can plug it right into your computer for handy recharging. Claimed run time is one hour at the highest setting or up to six hours in certain flashing modes. Alternatively, the standard KTV – offered in both front and rear varieties – puts out a more modest 15 lumens (claimed) with 180-degree visibility thanks to a curved lens shape. Like the KTV Pro, the standard KTV’s mount can easily be used on seatposts and handlebars or clipped on to clothing, and the built-in USB stick makes for easy recharging. Claimed run time is 4 1/2 to 9 1/2 hours depending on mode.”

Caddy Sack Review by All About The Ride

All About The Ride, a cycling blog out of the UK, reviewed the medium sized version of our Caddy Sack and had great things to say about its simplicity and convenience! The Lezyne Caddy Sack is a simple, reusable sack that can be used to carry all necessities, even smartphones. It has been redesigned with PVC fabrics, welded seams and a rolled velcro closure making this new sack extremely water resistant. The wide opening makes it quick and easy to see and extract contents. It is available in two sizes to accommodate a wide range of accessories.

“Lets face it, the Lezyne Caddy Sack looks essentially like a posh wash bag or ‘man bag’ for cyclists but for all of its simplicity, it is actually a good little product. If you are heading out for your early Sunday morning ride and you have read our Cycle Survival Kit guide, you will probable find that your saddle bag is crammed with spear tubes, repair kits, Co2 inflation pump, etc. But you haven’t room for your phone, keys and wallet. A jersey pocket is fine but the changes are you have filled these with a gilet or rain jacket and your nutritional products for your ride. In steps the Lezyne Caddy Sack.”

Canadian Cyclist Reviews the Deca Drive

Canadian Cyclist Reviews the Deca Drive

The Canadian publication had some great things to say about our Deca Drive, touting its sufficient brightness for commuting on the road. The Lezyne Deca Drive is designed with a sleek CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration. It features Constant Lumens power management that drives three LEDs at a steady and bright 900 lm.

“Out of the box, the Deca Drive oozes with typical Lezyne quality and attention to detail. The light is housed in a CNC’d aluminum shell and offers well thought out features like metal hinges and a sealed battery port. The battery port also doubles as a home for the USB charger connection. The light shroud has cooling fins machined into it which help keep temperatures down; and with three LEDs being powered to a max 800 lumen it can get pretty warm. Included in the box is a spare battery, two sizes of handlebar mounts (31.8mm and 25.4), and a micro USB charging cable.”

Classic Dirt Floor Drive Review by Enduro Mountainbike Magazine

We’ve been getting a lot of great reviews about our Digital Drive series lately, but our Classic Floor Drives are not to be forgotten…Enduro Mountainbike Magazine has a great review out for our Classic Dirt Floor Drive! The Lezyne Classic Dirt Floor Drive is a high volume floor pump optimized for use with mountain bike tires. Made with a steel barrel and piston, an aluminum base and an oversized wood handle. The barrel, piston, hose and connectors are oversized to deliver twice the air flow per stroke to quickly fill tires or seat tubeless tire systems. The ABS Flip-Thread Chuck and long rubber hose easily reach both Presta and Schrader valves on a stand. The Speed Chuck is included for fast press-on valve engagement. The 2.5” oversized gauge is very precise and easy to read. An anodized high polish finish makes this pump stylish and durable. The barrel is painted for durability and stylish looks.

“The Lezyne Classic Dirt Floor Drive could be the pump you’re looking for to replace the air compressor you keep around just for inflating bike tires. The pump is made with high quality, replaceable components. That’s an important thing. Being able to replace parts, instead of an entire pump, is crucial.” Read the full review here!
