BikesEtc Features Mega Drive in List of Nine Best Bicycle Lights

UK publication BikesEtc released a rundown of their nine most recommended bicycle LED lights, and included the Lezyne Mega Drive in the mix. With a CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration, the Lezyne Mega Drive is the ultimate high performance LED light built for trail or road use. It features Constant Lumens power management that drives three LEDs at a bright 1,400 lumens. Overdrive Race Mode allows quick switching between Overdrive and Economy, and its Infinite Light design allows for on-demand battery replacement for a bright light that never quits. It is recharged either with fast, high efficiency, 2 Amp recharging with a compatible wall adaptor or via a Micro USB cable for ultimate convenience. The Intelligent Power Indicator button allows the user to check the power level any time. The Mega Drive’s CM hard mounts secure the light to 31.8 mm and 25.4 mm handlebars. It is also available as a Fully Loaded package with aluminum handlebar mounts (31.8mm and 25.4mm), a spare battery pack, a Micro USB charging cable, and CM storage case.

Our Mega Drive might be one of the best, but it still stood out on its own. “We found the Lezyne Mega Drive to have the best-shaped beam, being closest to the ideal ‘letterbox’ shape (wide and not too tall), and with no noticeable step from the centre to the edges.”

Triathlete Europe Reviews the Lezyne KTV LED Lights

Triathlete Europe had great things to say about our new line of KTV LED safety lights! The Lezyne KTV Drive Front is a bright, ultra-compact, 15 lumen safety light. The machined aluminum body is lightweight, durable, and extremely weather-resistant. The Composite Matrix back clip features the Clip-On System, with movable clip, for versatile strapped or clipped mounting. The multi-position silicon rubber strap attaches directly to the back plate to secure the light to a wide range of handle bar diameters. The Side Visibility lens extends beyond the body providing 180 degrees visibility, and increasing user safety. The bottom cap can be removed to reveal its integrated USB stick, making recharging convenient and cable free. The KTV Drive Front is available as a single front LED, or as a front/rear pair (KTV Drive Front and Rear). The KTV Drive Rear is a 7 lumen safety taillight. The KTV Pro is a compact, aluminum bodied, 70 lumen front safety light that is available as a single front light or as a front/rear combo, paired with the KTV Drive Rear.

“Overall a stylish, minimalist and simplistic set of lights that would happily meet the needs of city commuters and make a great secondary set of lights for those needing to really light up the road. For those with multiple bikes or those leaving their bike outside in public the KTV lights make a lot of sense. The silicon attachment strap means putting them on and taking them off, either to change bikes or prevent them being stolen, takes seconds.”

Gauge Drive HP and Road Drive Score Accolades in Bikes Etc issue 1 - Logo

Bikes Etc published a mini pump round-up and featured two popular Lezyne hand pumps: The Road Drive (Small) and Gauge Drive HP! The Gauge Drive HP scored BEST IN TEST as well as an overall 8 out of 10, with ergonomics, construction, and ease of use being the judging criteria. Bikes Etc says of the Gauge Drive, “An excellent performer…It’s tough enough to withstand even the most vigorous efforts…The shiny finish looks great…The accurate inline gauge is a bonus.” The Road Drive (Small) received a 7 out of 10, with great comments such as “Reassuringly solid…The flexible hose reduces risk of valve damage, and the Air Bleed System (ABS) releases residual pressure, making it less likely to unscrew valve cores. It reaches a good pressure quickly.”

The Lezyne Gauge Drive HP is new this year, and is a compact hand pump made of custom CNC machined aluminum for precise and lightweight construction. The HP pump design easily inflates tires to riding pressure with fewer strokes. The overlapping handle and barrel are integrated into a compact design. It comes equipped with Lezyne’s ABS Pen Gauge, a precise and compact in-line pressure gauge compatible with Presta and Schrader valves. The Lezyne Road Drive is a high pressure hand pump made entirely of aluminum for precise and lightweight construction. The barrel, handle, piston, end caps and pump mount are all custom CNC machined. The HP design makes this a frame pump replacement, easily inflating tires to riding pressure with fewer strokes. It comes equipped with our ABS Speed Flex Hose, which is a Presta ONLY inflation system. One end of the hose is a threaded Presta valve connection with ABS, while the other side has Lezyne’s Slip Fit system for fast valve engagement.

Constant Lumens power management drives the LED at a bright 400 lumens for the front LED and 5 lumens for the rear LED, and the Intelligent Power Indicator button allows the user to check the power level at any time. Velo News Reviews the Micro Floor Drive HV

The well-known online cycling publication Velo News had some great things to say about our Micro Floor Drive HV for traveling cyclists or mountain bikers looking for a speedier, compact pump. The Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HV is a compact high volume pump design that brings floor pump function and power along for the ride. The aluminum barrel, shaft, base and T-handle are CNC machined for durability, ergonomics and reduced weight. The stainless steel foot peg provides stability while pumping. The ABS Flip-Thread Chuck and long rubber hose make it easy to reach Presta and Schrader valves. The HVG model features an in-line psi/bar pressure gauge. It comes equipped with Lezyne’s ABS Flex Hose, which has a threaded Presta connection with ABS on one side and a threaded Shrader connection on the other.

“Lezyne’s Micro Floor Drive HV is perfect for cyclists who travel, or for mountain bikers looking for a faster inflation option. Its long hose and floor pump design make it much easier to use than a traditional mini pump. It’s also bigger, of course, at 12″ long.”

Pedaling Nowhere Reviews the Power Bottle Cage

Pedaling Nowhere Reviews the Power Bottle Cage

Cycling blog Pedaling Nowhere constructed a compilation of what they feel are the best bottle cages out there, after field testing several through harsh conditions of several touring and backpacking adventures. Our Power Cage made the list! The Lezyne Power Cage is made of oversized hollow aluminum tubing for strength. The wrap-around design securely holds bottles over rough terrain while providing easy on-the-bike access. The aluminum base is welded to the hollow tubes for a durable and secure connection.

“When we got home from our last tour I unbolted all of our cages and noticed a couple that have been around for a while, and thought about several that didn’t make it back. We’ve used many brands, and broken quite a few of them. You can typically find replacements in practically every country, but most cheap wire cages wear out and become flimsy. Typically we carry two cages that fit standard water bottles and one or two oversized cages. Here are the ones worth writing about.”

Road.cc Reviews the Mega Drive for Year 8

Road.cc never fails to deliver the Lezyne love. Our newly upgraded Mega Drive wasn’t about to fall through their fingers! With a CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration, the Mega Drive is the ultimate high performance LED light built for trail or road use.

“The Mega Drive is Lezyne’s top-of-the-line performance LED light. It’s self-contained, and kicks out loads of light in a well-designed beam pattern. I like it a lot.

“The Mega Drive, as with other Lezyne products, is a beautifully manufactured aluminium unit. It not only looks good, it’s very strong as well. I know, because it dislodged itself from my handlebars mid-descent. Before I could recover it, a car had driven over it. It continues to work perfectly. The lesson in this, of course, is to make sure the light is mounted on the bracket properly. Doh!”

MTBR Reviews the Lezyne Deca Drive

Online publication MTBR (Mountain Bike Review) had some great things to say about our popular Deca Drive LED light (900 lumens version). This light is designed with a sleek CNC-sculpted aluminum body in a compact, self-contained configuration. It features Constant Lumens power management that drives three LEDs. Overdrive Race Mode makes it possible for quick switching between Overdrive and Economy, and its Infinite Light design allows for on-demand battery replacement. The Intelligent Power Indicator button allows the user to check the power level any time. It is recharged either with fast, high efficiency, 2 Amp recharging with a compatible wall adaptor, or via a Micro USB cable for ultimate convenience. The Deca Drive’s Composite Matrix hard mounts secure the light to 31.8 mm and 25.4 mm handlebars. It is also available in the Fully Loaded package with aluminum handlebar mounts (31.8mm and 25.4mm), a spare battery pack, a Micro USB charging cable, and CM storage case.

“The Deca Drive is Lezyne’s follow-on to the Mega Drive of last year. It measures almost 900 Lumens and is only 100 Lumens weaker than last year’s Mega Drive. But it is $50 cheaper and that makes this a terrific value. Furthermore, the edges have been smoothed out with some white powdercoating.”
