Design Engineer – San Luis Obispo, CA

Lezyne is a cycling accessories industry leader with award winning products world-wide. We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California, USA. Must have a passion for cycling and be able to design a variety of consumer bicycle accessories ranging from bottle cages to LED racing lights and beyond. Must have excellent organization skills and an ability to macro and micro manage projects. Salary based on experience. Excellent benefit package.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee projects from conception to production
  • CAD design of parts using Pro/E and Mechanica
  • Determining tolerances of parts based on function and manufacturing process
  • Interactive design of products using Rapid Prototyping Machines as well as other hands on prototyping techniques
  • Organizing and checking SOP for assembly
  • Determining pricing of parts, projects and molds

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • CAD software competent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with iterative designs and mechanical products
  • Knowledge of designing products using various manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to travel to Taiwan
  • FEA and Windchill experience preferred


Mechanical Engineering Assistant – San Luis Obispo, CA

Responsibilities include:

  • Create/3D model innovative mechanical design for new projects
  • Update/Create costing spreadsheets
  • Provide solutions to production issues on existing products
  • Prototype new solutions and projects
  • Durability test mechanical structures
  • Validate features and requirements for individual projects
  • Liaison with our Taiwan engineers

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Basic electronics knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using machine tools (lathe, mill, etc.) and proper measurement techniques
  • Knowledge of designing products using various manufacturing techniques
  • Knowledge of designing products using manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to travel to Taiwan
