Design Engineer

We are seeking a full time Design Engineer to join our team headquartered in San Luis Obispo, California, USA. Must be able to design a variety of consumer bicycle accessories ranging from bottle cages to LED lights and beyond. Must have excellent organization skills and an ability to macro and micro manage projects. A passion for cycling helps!

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from conception to production
  • Create/update 3D/2D documents in Pro/Engineer (CREO) complete with tolerances and notes
  • Run Mechanica for thermal and mechanical analysis
  • Create and update costing spreadsheets
  • Determine appropriate manufacturing methods to achieve cost targets
  • Prototype new solutions and projects (requires fundamental knowledge of 3d printer/3 axis VCNC/Manual Lathe operation)
  • Develop test equipment, run testing, collect data, and write reports
  • Manage the transition into mass production

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Basic electronics knowledge
  • 3+ years experience
  • Proficient in Pro/Engineer, experience in PDM/PLM systems a plus
  • Proficient in FEA (mechanica and thermal), Mechanica preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Experience with iterative designs and mechanical products
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques (extrusions, stamping, casting, forging, mold injection, CNC)
  • Ability to secure a US Passport and travel to Taiwan

Purchasing & Sales Coordinator

Lezyne is looking for a Purchasing & Sales Coordinator to join our team. As Coordinator at Lezyne you will be responsible for the purchasing, receiving, and management of inventory. Update managers by consolidating, analyzing, and preparing monthly reports. Assist in the resolution of sales questions and warranty issues. Maintain contact with Lezyne Taiwan regarding shipments and purchase orders. Manage software integrations between QuickBooks, Web and EDI systems. Monitor company’s M.A.P. policy.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Purchasing, receiving, management of inventory
  • Maintain the day to day integrity and troubleshoot software integrations
  • Work with software vendors to maintain and enhance systems operations
  • Product sales analysis reports
  • Customer sales analysis reports
  • Ad-hoc reporting as requested by management
  • Work with sales, reps and staff, to answer questions regarding inventory and delivery
  • Retailer / Dealer operations – new programs, assist accounting with retailer resolutions
  • M.A.P. monitoring
  • Attend trade shows as assigned and travel as required
  • Direct sales, order input, when needed
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements include:

  • 3 years’ experience in purchasing, retail or inside/outside sales experience
  • Experience in the bike industry a big plus
  • Written and face-to-face communication skills
  • MS Office and Windows proficiency
  • Intermediate or better Excel skills required
  • Experience with Fishbowl, Magento, Lilypad a plus
  • Positive people person attitude
  • Problem solver that takes thoughtful initiative
