Recently, Enduro Mountainbike Magazine took on the task of rigorously testing multiple tubeless tire inflators and pumps. After analyzing everything from flow rate to build quality, the Digital Pressure Over Drive “easily [took] top honours.”
The Testing Process:
“To check out the function of each pump we exposed them to our workshop, there they were abused, kicked and generally mistreated. We tested on the dreaded combos of DH tires and wide rims, baggy tires and narrow rims and everything in between. Pump heads were challenged with long and short valve stems, and occasionally trodden on. We also set up a test lab and measured maximum flow rate to see how quickly the pump could deliver its charge (standardized at 60 psi for testing), the higher the number (liters/second) the faster the pump can blow air. A good pump is a necessary but infrequent purchase and should be expected to last for many years, so we spent a lot of time checking the build quality.”
One Clear Winner
“At the end of testing there was one clear winner…The steel and aluminium construction screams quality with a comfortably shaped wooden handle, and every part is user serviceable. To finish the class leading package, the digital gauge proved impressively accurate against our calibrated gauge. Everything about the Lezyne shouts quality and durability, a joy to use in every way. We have no hesitation awarding it the best in test.”
Ultimately, it was regarded as “the king of pumps, the nemesis of the stubborn tire, and well deserving of space in anyone’s workshop.” Click here to read the full review by Trevor Worsey.
